Can You Let It Go?

I know, Lord, that our lives are not our own. We are not able to plan our own course. So correct me, Lord, but please be gentle.

Jeremiah 10:23-24

In The Great Divorce, author and theologian C. S. Lewis wrote, “There are only two kinds of people in the end: those who say to God, ‘Thy will be done,’ and those to whom God says, in the end, ‘Thy will be done.’”*

Which kind of person are you?

Do you willingly submit to God’s will or feel reluctance about his changes in your plans?

Think about your to-do list for today. In which area is it difficult to say to God, “Thy will be done”?

With this in mind, read the verse above as a prayer.
