Bragging Rights

Bragging Rights

Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves.

Philippians 2:3

What situations or people most tempt you to brag about your actions, achievements, or talents?

What is your motive for doing this?

Is it to feel like you measure up?

To gain approval?

To feel better about yourself?

Take a few moments to confess this to God.

End these exercises on secrecy by telling God about a need you have. Don’t tell anyone else about it.

Write down this secret need so that when God decides to meet it, you will know it was because of him and not someone else.
