Simplicity

Simplicity

My Question for God

How can I simplify my life?

A Moment with God

Jesus said, “That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life—whether you have enough food to eat or enough clothes to wear. For life is more than food, and your body more than clothing.”

Luke 12:22-23

Live in harmony with each other. Don’t be too proud to enjoy the company of ordinary people. And don’t think you know it all!

Romans 12:16

Simplicity is not just a lifestyle but a tangible expression of an inner attitude of the heart. There are three main components to an attitude of simplicity: (1) thankfulness—viewing every possession and good occurrence as a gift from God; (2) trust—that your life and everything about it is ultimately under the care of God, not you; and (3) generosity—being willing to share all you have with others. When you are thankful, you expect nothing but are delighted with everything. When you trust that everything belongs to God and is in his care, you free yourself from worry and anxiety. Finally, when you share as an expression of God’s own generosity toward you, you hold things loosely. When these three attitudes work together, you are freed from the slavery of materialism and can live a life of simplicity.

Divine Promise

This world is fading away, along with everything that people crave. But anyone who does what pleases God will live forever.
