Mercy
Mercy
My Question for God
How does God’s mercy affect my daily life?
A Moment with God
The LORD is compassionate and merciful, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love.
Psalm 103:8
Mercy is another word for the amazing kindness God showers on us in not treating us as our sins deserve. God’s greatest act of mercy is the offer of salvation and eternal life, even though at times we have ignored him, neglected him, and rebelled against him. God’s mercy sets you free from the power of sin when he forgives you, so that you can choose each day to fight your sinful nature. God’s mercy changes your life because you understand what it feels like to be loved even when you have not loved in return. This should cause you to love others in the same way that God loves you, creating in their lives a divine moment. To whom can you be an example of God’s mercy today?
Divine Promise
[The Lord] does not punish us for all our sins; he does not deal harshly with us, as we deserve.
Psalm 103:10
