How can I find more energy?

A Moment with God

Work with enthusiasm, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people.

Ephesians 6:7

When you do your work as if you were doing it for God, you can work with more enthusiasm and energy because your tasks are infused with a sense of divine purpose. Doing work for God means working to please him, not just to get through the task. Trying to imitate the way he would do your work helps you to see how you can influence those around you.

Dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead.

Philippians 3:13

You will have more energy for today and tomorrow if you don’t waste energy focusing on the past. The more you drag around from your past, the heavier the load you will carry today and the less energy you will have for tomorrow. God’s Word tells you to free yourself from the past and funnel your energy into making today and tomorrow all you want them to be.

No discipline is enjoyable while it is happening—it’s painful! But afterward there will be a peaceful harvest of right living for those who are trained in this way. So take a new grip with your tired hands and strengthen your weak knees.

Hebrews 12:11-12

When you know you are doing the right thing, it can rejuvenate you because you realize that God is pleased with your actions. God’s approval stimulates greater obedience.
