My Question for God
What is the power of daily reading God’s Word?
A Moment with God
The instructions of the LORD are perfect, reviving the soul. The decrees of the LORD are trustworthy, making wise the simple. The commandments of the LORD are right, bringing joy to the heart. The commands of the LORD are clear, giving insight for living.
Psalm 19:7-8
Your laws please me; they give me wise advice.
Psalm 119:24
Your promise revives me; it comforts me in all my troubles.
Psalm 119:50
All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work.
2 Timothy 3:16-17
The word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires.
Hebrews 4:12
God’s Word, the Bible, is the only document that is “living.” In other words, it is relevant for all people in all places in any time period. Because the Bible is a living document through which God speaks, daily reading is important so that God can communicate with you. It’s easy to become distracted and lose touch with him. Reading God’s Word every day keeps you in the presence of the One who created you for a purpose, who knows you best, and who can guide you along the best pathway for your life. If your heart is open to the words recorded in this book, you will begin to gain comfort, joy, insight, wisdom, knowledge, and the keys to living. You can experience daily divine moments with God, just by reading his Word!
Divine Promise
When I discovered your words, I devoured them. They are my joy and my heart’s delight, for I bear your name, O LORD God of Heaven’s Armies.
Jeremiah 15:16
