Thankfulness

Thankfulness

MY QUESTION for GOD

Why should I give thanks to God?

A MOMENT with GOD

Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good! His faithful love endures forever.

1 Chronicles 16:34

Give thanks to God because he is good, kind, and loving. Thanking God for these qualities helps you more fully appreciate and respect them both in God and in others.

He fell to the ground at Jesus’ feet, thanking him for what he had done.

Luke 17:16

A thankful heart shows that your faith is maturing as you recognize God’s work in your life.

Thank God! He gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ.

1 Corinthians 15:57

Thank God because he gives you victory over sin and death when you put your faith in Jesus Christ.

Thank God for this gift too wonderful for words!

2 Corinthians 9:15

Thank God for the gift of his Son, Jesus, who paid the price for your sin and calls you his friend.

Devote yourselves to prayer with an alert mind and a thankful heart.

Colossians 4:2

Thank God because he answers prayer. When you do, you acknowledge that God did something specific for you and that you are giving him the credit.

Since everything God created is good, we should not reject any of it but receive it with thanks.

1 Timothy 4:4

Thank God for the goodness and beauty of creation.

Praise the Lord! I will thank the Lord with all my heart as I meet with his godly people. How amazing are the deeds of the Lord! All who delight in him should ponder them.

Psalm 111:1-2

By giving thanks to God, you show others what he has done in your life and inspire them to pursue a relationship with him.

Even though the fig trees have no blossoms, and there are no grapes on the vines; even though the olive crop fails, and the fields lie empty and barren; even though the flocks die in the fields, and the cattle barns are empty, yet I will rejoice in the Lord! I will be joyful in the God of my salvation! The Sovereign Lord is my strength! He makes me as surefooted as a deer, able to tread upon the heights.

Habakkuk 3:17-19

A spirit of gratitude and praise changes the way you look at life. Thankfulness and praise connect you to the source of real joy. When you make giving thanks a regular part of your life, you stay focused on everything God has done and continues to do for you. Expressing gratitude for God’s help is a form of worship.
