MY QUESTION for GOD
How can I be more motivated to invest in spiritual things?
A MOMENT with GOD
Give, and you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full—pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, running over, and poured into your lap. The amount you give will determine the amount you get back.
Luke 6:38
The Lord gave me what I had.
Job 1:21
Sell your possessions and give to those in need. This will store up treasure for you in heaven! And the purses of heaven never get old or develop holes. Your treasure will be safe; no thief can steal it and no moth can destroy it.
Luke 12:33
If you give even a cup of cold water to one of the least of my followers, you will surely be rewarded.
Matthew 10:42
At its most basic level, giving is investing your possessions or income in the lives of others. At a deeper level, giving is investing yourself in others. Giving is a remarkable concept. It originates in the heart of a giving God, a God who invests more blessings in his people than we deserve or expect. God invests in you through his gifts of life, love, salvation, and eternity in heaven—all investments he makes in order to have a relationship with you. These gifts are priceless and can be reinvested in the lives of others. In fact, your very character is a reflection of how much you have invested of yourself with God and others. One unique promise of the Bible is that the more you give, the more you receive—not necessarily in material possessions, but in spiritual and eternal rewards. This is a truth that can only be learned by doing. Your monetary investments will become worthless to you when you die—you can’t take them with you. But any spiritual investments you make will impact you for eternity.
DIVINE PROMISE
This world is fading away, along with everything that people crave. But anyone who does what pleases God will live forever. 1 John 2:17
