Balance

Balance

MY QUESTION for GOD

How do I live a balanced life? I can’t seem to get everything done.

A MOMENT with GOD

Jesus replied, “You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ The entire law and all the demands of the prophets are based on these two commandments.”

Matthew 22:37-40

For everything there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven.

Ecclesiastes 3:1

I brought glory to you here on earth by completing the work you gave me to do. Now, Father, bring me into the glory we shared before the world began.

John 17:4-5

Living a balanced life means you honor God, others, and yourself with the way you use your gifts and spend your time and resources. It’s easy to let your life get out of balance by overemphasizing one aspect of your responsibilities at the cost of others. God assures you that there is a time for everything, and there is time for everything he calls you to do. Jesus, despite his power and the needs of those around him, left much undone; yet he completed everything God had given him to do. You will find true peace and contentment when you realize you don’t have to do everything, just those things God created you to do. You will find balance when you know that in God’s eyes you have done what you need to do.
