MY QUESTION for GOD

How do I know when I should keep going or when it’s time to quit?

A MOMENT with GOD

Think carefully about what is right, and stop sinning.

1 Corinthians 15:34

Be strong and courageous, and do the work. Don’t be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord God, my God, is with you. He will not fail you or forsake you. He will see to it that all the work . . . is finished correctly.

1 Chronicles 28:20

Do not let sin control the way you live; do not give in to sinful desires.

We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed. We are perplexed, but not driven to despair. . . . We know that God, who raised the Lord Jesus, will also raise us with Jesus and present us to himself together with you. . . . That is why we never give up.

2 Corinthians 4:8, 14, 16

It is time to quit when you are doing something wrong, when your actions are futile, or when you are hurting yourself or others. Even if what you are doing is not inherently wrong, it may be time to quit if that action or behavior is not productive, absorbs too much of your time and attention, or is a stumbling block to others. However, when God has called you to a task, you should not give up. Not only would you miss the great blessings of reaching your goal, but you might also bring discipline upon yourself for not trusting God to help you get there. Just because God wants you to do something doesn’t mean it will be easy. In fact, the harder the task, the more important it often is. If you know God is asking you to do something in particular or if he is taking you in a new certain direction, don’t give up just because the going gets tough. If anything, that should tell you that you are headed in the right direction. Keep moving forward boldly and faithfully.
