Endurance
MY QUESTION for GOD
How can I be a good leader over the long haul?
A MOMENT with GOD
Are you seeking great things for yourself? Don’t do it! I will bring great disaster upon all these people; but I will give you your life as a reward wherever you go. I, the Lord, have spoken!
Jeremiah 45:5
The greatest among you must be a servant.
Matthew 23:11
It is certainly difficult to keep doing well over a long period of time, especially when life throws you trials and temptations. A leader who has an enduring faith, however, is up to the challenge. The ability to be steady for the long-term is born out of godly motives. On the other hand, the desire for status, control, or acceptance is not an adequate motive for leadership that endures. You will inevitably be disappointed, for Jesus promises you none of these things. In fact, Jesus taught that whoever wants to be the greatest must be willing to be the least and serve everyone else. You should serve because you love God and you love others in his name. This will not make leadership easy, but it will enable you to endure as you find deep joy in serving others.
DIVINE CHALLENGE
LET’S NOT GET TIRED OF DOING WHAT IS GOOD. AT JUST THE RIGHT TIME WE WILL REAP A HARVEST OF BLESSING IF WE DON’T GIVE UP.
Galatians 6:9
