Convictions
Convictions
MY QUESTION for GOD
How can strong convictions help me as a leader?
A MOMENT with GOD
In those days Israel had no king; all the people did whatever seemed right in their own eyes.
Judges 21:25
At the sound of the musical instruments, all the people, whatever their race or nation or language, bowed to the ground and worshiped the gold statue that King Nebuchadnezzar had set up.
Daniel 3:7
He guards the paths of the just and protects those who are faithful to him. Then you will understand what is right, just, and fair, and you will find the right way to go.
Proverbs 2:8-9
Let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature craves. The sinful nature wants to do evil, which is just the opposite of what the Spirit wants. And the Spirit gives us desires that are the opposite of what the sinful nature desires.
Galatians 5:16-17
Without godly personal convictions, you would have no guidelines for living. With no guidelines for living, it would be impossible to honor God and lead others in God-pleasing ways. With no guidelines, people end up doing what seems right in their own eyes rather than doing what God commands and desires. This leads to decisions and actions based on pride and personal gratification, which ends in disaster. Every day you are faced with opportunities to choose right or wrong, good or bad, God’s way or the way of the world. Practice choosing God’s way, and you will develop stronger convictions. Be tenacious, and Satan cannot take over any territory in your heart. Be committed to winning any battles over your convictions. Each victory is a divine moment.
DIVINE CHALLENGE
