And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one.
—John 17:22
NOT ONLY ARE SPIRIT-BAPTIZED CHRISTIANS made one in holiness and one in love, but they are to be made one in glory. Glory might be described as the place where Christ is enthroned in the fullness of consummating power and has all things subdued to Himself. There the Spirit-baptized are to be one with Him.
And as we are always with Christ, He is always with us. He, by virtue of His ascension, has become omnipresent. “Lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world” (Matthew 28:20) is an incomprehensible statement to human intelligence, but a blessed certainty to the Spirit of God and to the Spirit-baptized saint.
Prayer Thought: Lord, I appreciate the assurance of Your presence.
