And they were offended in him. But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, save in his own country, and in his own house.

THE DISCIPLES BECAME MORE AND more confused by Christ’s teachings. They were perplexed. The strain of service grew so intense that, in the last year of Jesus’ life, it was too much for them. He predicted, “You shall all be offended in Me, and you will leave Me alone.”

Can you blame them? I cannot. It is natural to be perplexed until we receive the Holy Spirit, who alone can expound all God’s truth.

Prayer Thought: Lord, enlighten my understanding so that I may fully comprehend Your teachings.
