In that hour Jesus rejoiced in spirit, and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes: even so, Father; for so it seemed good in thy sight.

THE DISCIPLES DISCUSSED AMONG THEMSELVES who would be first when Jesus formed His kingdom. When Jesus asked them what they questioned, they did not answer Him. Why? They felt they missed the mark and did not know how. Then Jesus took a little child and said, “Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child shall in no wise enter therein.”

God teaches no other kind of person, but the childlike in spirit.

Prayer Thought: O God, grant that we will understand Your teachings with the humility and simplicity of a child.
