And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.

—Psalm 50:15

ARE YOU IN CONSTANT CONTACT with someone—in your family, in your own business, or in a friendship—who is indifferent to Jesus Christ? Have you talked with that person about Jesus, prayed with him, and done everything you know how, but there has not been the slightest sign that he is thinking about a change?

Then get alone with the Lord Jesus Christ and pray, “Lord, do I believe that Thou cannot thaw that man’s or woman’s nature, until the Holy Spirit has a chance of saving this person?” Ask Him, “What is the state of my own faith in You?”

Then say to yourself, Do I believe that the Lord Jesus Christ can take that selfish, sensual, twisted, satisfied nature and make it perfect in the sight of God? Do I have confidence in the Lord’s power?

We must believe in the power of Jesus to wash away the sins of the world. Do we? As Christian workers, we are wasting our time if we do not.

Prayer Thought: Your power is great, Lord. Flow through me!
