Deeper Life #146

That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death.

—Philippians 3:10

LET THE LORD HAVE HIS way. Beware of the tendency toward a sentimental admiration of Jesus, which withholds the reins of your life from Jesus’ hands.

The real enemies of Christ are not the poor fallen people on the streets, but those who profess holiness, yet never let Him eradicate the self-centered disposition inside of them. Oh, may you let God eradicate your self-centeredness today!

Prayer Thought: I fully surrender my life to You, dear Lord.
