Unchangeable Personality

For I am the LORD, I do not change.

Malachi 3:6

If you have kids, have you ever noticed how they work you? Another word for this is manipulation. They live in the same house with you, so they study you. They know when you’re in a certain kind of mood and when they should move in. If they see you’re troubled or upset over something, they know it’s not the time to make a request. If you’ve had a great day, they make their move.

You don’t have to work God. He’s always in a good mood. He’s always the same. You don’t have to sneak up on God when you think it is appropriate to ask Him for what you need. And that affects your fellowship with Him and your attitude toward Him. He loves you, and He wants to do as much for you as He can at any given time. It doesn’t matter when you call. He’s always there.
