For Selecting a Prayer Partner

THERE IS SUPERNATURAL, UNSTOPPABLE POWER in agreement. In Matthew 18:19 Jesus declared, “If two of you agree here on earth concerning anything you ask, my Father in heaven will do it for you” (Matthew 18:19). This biblical promise doesn’t say that God might do it—or that he’ll probably do it. It says that God will do it—if we agree.

The Message Bible presses further: “Take this most seriously: A yes on earth is yes in heaven; a no on earth is no in heaven. What you say to one another is eternal. I mean this. When two of you get together on anything at all on earth and make a prayer of it, my Father in heaven goes into action.”

That translation is powerful, and it helps explain why the devil sows discord among believers. When we pray together, our prayers are fortified—but partnering with the right person is key. Pick someone whose heart and faith are aligned with yours, and watch God go into action.

PRAYERFUL THOUGHTS

Dear Lord,

Please send me a prayer partner—someone I can trust, and someone who can also trust me. Make it clear who this person is, and allow our hearts to be aligned.

In advance, I come against all sources of jealousy, betrayal, and strife—and I declare harmony over this divinely orchestrated partnership. May your Spirit bring us together, and may our prayers be favored by you.
