Love Notes Say “i Care!”

care - Love Notes Say “I Care!”

How beautiful is your love, . . . my bride! How much better is your love than wine! Song of Solomon 4:10, NASB

I (Teresa) know it may sound corny or completely over the top, but writing love letters is one of the best ways to show you care. It may seem silly, illogical, or irrational to write a note to someone you see every day, but this kind of romantic gesture helps keep love alive.

Here are some ideas that can warm your spouse’s heart as they communicate your love in creative ways:

Write this note on the bathroom mirror: “You are important to me.”

Place a note in a briefcase or purse that reads, “I’ll be thinking about you today.”

Write a note on the driveway with chalk that says, “Somebody loves you!”

Send an electronic card or e-mail message that spells out, “You are my sunshine!”

Pick out a card at the store, write your own message of love, and mail it to your spouse.

Spell out “I love you” with her favorite candy or a new set of golf balls for him.

Write your spouse a poem and read it to her during a quiet moment.

Change the words of a familiar love song and show him your “personalized” rendition.

Lord, remind me often of the beauty of my spouse’s love and help me express my gratefulness for that love.

Write complimentary phrases that begin with the letters of your spouse’s name.

These kinds of reminders communicate that you trust your spouse with your heart and with your vulnerable expressions of love. They can bring joy to both your hearts and carry you through until you are together again.

What creative reminders of your love can you leave for your spouse today?
