You Are Known

Breathe Deep and Know: Your soul’s deepest longing—to know God and be known by God—is fulfilled through Christ.

We were created for a relationship with God—to know Him and to be known by Him. This relationship is what changes everything. It’s what breathes new life into our souls, what gives true peace, what begins the process of Him making all things new in our lives.

When we come to God through faith in Jesus, we get to reconnect with the One who made us and loves us, the One who stretched out His nail-pierced hands to bridge the gap between heaven and earth and mend what was broken in our relationship with Him. As we experience the love of Christ in salvation, our souls long for more and more of Him. He is our living water, the source of true life and peace. He sustains and refreshes us.

When you’re feeling afraid or anxious, your mind may be so desperate for relief that you forget where to find what you really need. Pray this prayer as you turn your soul toward its truest and deepest longing: God Himself.

As the deer longs for streams of water, so I long for you, O God.
