“I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.”

Revelation 1:8

God exists outside of time even as he is the beginning and the end of all things. He is the One who started your story in the darkness of your mother’s womb. And he is in the process of writing your story today. He knows how many hairs cover your head, the deepest worries of your heart, and the last day you’ll walk on this earth.

Revelation 1:8 reminds us of God’s vastness and power, yet he still chose you out of billions to live your amazing story on this earth. He is the mighty one who comes alongside you, gives you life, helps you forgive, and inaugurates hope.

What an amazing thought that your big God has such a tender heart for you. Focus on that truth especially if you are battling your own sense of worth today. Or hurting after someone’s painful words. Or stressed about money. Know that the Almighty God loves you.

Lord, you are the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end, yet you see me and call me your child, amen.
