Beautiful Word Devotional #321

[The people at the temple] recognized him as the same man who used to sit begging at the temple gate called Beautiful, and they were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him.

Acts 3:10

Peter and John did not have silver or gold when the lame beggar asked them for money, but they had Jesus Christ. And in that moment of holy connection, they offered Jesus to this man. He asked for temporary relief, but they gave him a lifetime of walking. His response was to walk and jump—praising God for legs that worked! As a result, many came to know this powerful Jesus. People were amazed and wanted to know how this amazing miracle happened.

If you are a Christ follower, do you realize that a similar miracle has happened to you? When you encountered Jesus, you were lame of soul. But Jesus didn’t leave you lying in your hopelessness. He set you on your feet and blessed you with peace and joy. Like this once-lame man, you have great reasons to praise God!

Lord, may I respond to your work in my life by walking and jumping—praising you for my revitalized soul! Amen.
