Beautiful Word Devotional #223

Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.

1 Peter 4:10

God gives every believer a unique gift or combination of gifts, not so any of us can brag, but so we can serve others. So rather than fretting about whether your gifts are as amazing as another person’s or even at all noteworthy, spend your time thinking about how you can use those gifts to serve God by serving people.

If God has gifted you to teach, what opportunities has he opened up for you to serve others through your teaching? If God has given you administrative skills, what ministry would benefit from your help? If God has equipped you to believe him for great things, at what nonprofit can you serve as a volunteer?

God’s design is truly beautiful! He made you unique, one-of-a-kind. And he gifted you with specific skills, abilities, talents, and passions that you can use to be a blessing to this world in his name.

Lord, help me identify my gifts and then show me where I can be of greatest service! Amen.
