Beautiful Word Devotional #101
Beautiful Word Devotional #101
Let everything that has breath praise the LORD.
Psalm 150:6
The requirement is minimal. If you are alive, the psalmist said, you can praise God. (In Psalm 148 the psalmist even calls the animals to praise the Lord!) You and I praise God not simply with our lips and voices. We are able to praise him with every aspect of our being and in every moment of our lives. In fact, a life of praise will be a life well lived.
We can praise God in the midst of pain. Why? Because our compassionate God is with us and helps us endure.
We can praise God in the midst of financial worries. Why? Because, ultimately, he is our Provider who loves to supply our needs and who will do so in his perfect timing.
We can praise God in the midst of relational heartache. Why? Because Jesus experienced it when he walked this earth, and he knows how to help us through it—and he can redeem it.
God is worthy of our trust, our devotion, our commitment, and our praise.
Lord, teach me to praise you with every aspect of my being and in every moment of my life, amen.
