Steadfast Loyalty

Never let loyalty and kindness leave you! Tie them around your neck as a reminder. Write them deep within your heart. Then you will find favor with both God and people, and you will earn a good reputation.

Loyalty can be defined as a highly personal form of commitment. Loyalty says, “No matter what happens around us or between us, there is no fear, doubt, or hurt that can make me turn my back on you.” When you have loyalty in a relationship, it is secure and solid. When you do not, the relationship is filled with insecurity and fear. The Bible teaches that loyalty is part of the very character of God. You communicate your loyalty to God by seeking to obey his Word and admitting to him when you’ve fallen short, and he expresses his loyalty by refusing to give up on you, no matter what.
