Courage For Whatever Comes

Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.

To experience fear is normal. To be paralyzed by fear, however, can be an indication that you doubt God’s promises or his ability to care for you in the face of danger. Realize that courage doesn’t come from your qualifications or your credentials but from the promise of God’s presence and power. Jesus said, “The peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid” (John 14:27). When you know God is with you and helping you, you have peace that can face any fear.
