The Power Of Your Thoughts

The Power of Your Thoughts

Coach Vince Lombardi once said, “Life’s battles don’t always go to the stronger or faster man. But sooner or later the man who wins is the man who thinks he can.” Your thoughts will set the trajectory of your life toward either a life that revolves around you and what you determine to be your purposes or a life that revolves around God and who and what he has created you to be.

What do you think about the statement that God has a plan for your life? Have you ever wondered what that plan is? Do you think that the Creator of the universe uniquely gifted you to do something extraordinary with your life? I do.

Ephesians 2:10 teaches us that we have been made as masterpieces of God, who has saved us for the purpose of doing good works that will bring him glory. You see, I believe that part of the mystery of the gospel is that the God of the universe actually invites us into a partnership with him to accomplish something spectacular. When you think about and understand this, it should challenge the way you live. It should inspire how you spend your time and invite you to serve the Lord with excellence.

Proverbs 23:7 in the King James Version states, “As [a man] thinketh in his heart, so is he.” So what do you thinketh? I believe that winning in life begins by ordering your purposes and thoughts around the heavenly Father and what he thinks of your life.

As [a man] thinketh in his heart, so is he.

Proverbs 23:7, KJV
