Keep It Moving

Keep It Moving

Momentum is an interesting thing. It is amazing how one drive, one shot, or one pitch can shift the entire momentum and mental outlook of a team. Getting momentum is almost euphoric. It gives a whole new perspective on a set of problems. The 2015 World Series champion Kansas City Royals captured the American League Division Series’ momentum against the Houston Astros when they were able to stop Houston late in game four.

The Astros nearly had the game, up 6–2 in the eighth. But the Royals were able to get out of that jam and then punish the Astros to win game four. Kansas City, though down, never lost the expectant faith they’d had all season. They won game five and recaptured the momentum going into the World Series, where with this confidence, they defeated the New York Mets to clinch the 111th World Series title.

Do you have an expectant faith? Do you expect God to hear your prayer? Do you expect God to provide for your needs? Do you encourage those around you that God will move? Let me challenge your faith today. Hebrews 11:1 states, “Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see.” Today is an opportunity to recapture the momentum of your life by engaging an expectant faith. Whatever seems impossible to overcome, give it to your heavenly Father! Live with an expectant faith, because nothing is impossible with God.

Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see.
