Wickedness
wickedness - How should I respond when I see wicked people prospering?
I tried to understand why the wicked prosper. But what a difficult task it is! Then I went into your sanctuary, O God, and I finally understood the destiny of the wicked. . . . In an instant they are destroyed. . . . But as for me, how good it is to be near God!
Psalm 73:16-17, 19, 28
The LORD watches over the path of the godly, but the path of the wicked leads to destruction.
Psalm 1:6
The eyes of the LORD watch over those who do right; his ears are open to their cries for help. But the LORD turns his face against those who do evil; he will erase their memory from the earth.
Psalm 34:15-16
The LORD has told you what is good, and this is what he requires of you: to do what is right, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.
Micah 6:8
WHY DO THE RIGHTEOUS sometimes suffer while those who consistently do wrong prosper? As difficult as this is to understand, the Lord isn’t silent. He tells us the ultimate destiny of the wicked: He will turn his face against them and erase them from memory. In contrast, God promises to be faithful to the godly. When you find yourself discouraged by seeing those who do wrong succeed in this world, turn your focus back to God. He holds their fate in his hands. For now, do what is right, love mercy, and walk humbly with your God.
Prayer Prompts

Your Word assures me that . . .
