Tiredness
tiredness - What can I do when I’m tired but I have to keep going?
I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.
Isaiah 41:10
Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.”
Matthew 11:28
He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless. Even youths will become weak and tired, and young men will fall in exhaustion. But those who trust in the LORD will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.
Isaiah 40:29-31
FATIGUE IS A SIGN that our bodies and souls are in need of attention. Being overly tired keeps us from thinking clearly and operating at our best. We can use our weariness as a reminder that we need to rely on God’s strength. When we come to him in praise, he refreshes our hearts. When we come to him in prayer, he refreshes our souls. When we come to him in solitude, he refreshes our bodies. When we come to him through his Word, he refreshes our minds. When we come to him with gratitude, he refreshes our perspective. Whenever you feel burned out and unable to press on, lean into God in praise, in prayer, in solitude, through his Word, or in gratitude. He understands your limitations and is waiting to give you the strength you need to get through today.
