2 Corinthians 1:3-4

WHETHER IT’S HAPPENED to us personally or to someone we know, we all have experienced the dark shadow of suffering. We often don’t know why suffering has struck. But two things can be said about suffering: It hurts, and it helps when others bring comfort. If you know someone who is hurting, walk alongside her by offering your prayers, presence, help, and a listening ear. Don’t allow the discomfort of seeing someone suffer cause you to try to explain or fix her pain. Simply choose to be with her in it and help her feel God’s love and presence through you.
