Spiritual Friendships
spiritual friendships - How can I develop deep spiritual friendships?
When we get together, I want to encourage you in your faith, but I also want to be encouraged by yours.
Romans 1:12
Encourage each other and build each other up, just as you are already doing.
1 Thessalonians 5:11
Share each other’s burdens, and in this way obey the law of Christ.
Galatians 6:2
If you are presenting a sacrifice at the altar in the Temple and you suddenly remember that someone has something against you, leave your sacrifice there at the altar. Go and be reconciled to that person. Then come and offer your sacrifice to God.
Matthew 5:23-24
GOD’S WORD gives specific guidance for maintaining and deepening friendships. It reminds us that intentionality, authenticity, generosity, and love are essential. All women need deep friendships, but many of us struggle to develop them. Or maybe we’ve had close Christian friends before, but now life has taken us in different directions and we are waiting for new friends to come into our lives. Are you still searching for a place of belonging? Do you want to deepen your friendships with others? Begin by praying that God would provide trustworthy and godly women to walk alongside you. Trust that God will answer your earnest prayers and reward your efforts to invest in relationships. Then, when a person crosses your path, lean in and start getting to know her. She is most likely a gift from God.
