Serving Others
serving others - Why should I serve others when no one seems to appreciate what I do?
I will search for faithful people to be my companions. Only those who are above reproach will be allowed to serve me.
Psalm 101:6
No one can serve two masters. For you will hate one and love the other; you will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and be enslaved to money.
Matthew 6:24
You have been called to live in freedom, my brothers and sisters. But don’t use your freedom to satisfy your sinful nature. Instead, use your freedom to serve one another in love.
Galatians 5:13
Even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many.
Mark 10:45
SERVING OTHERS with the right attitude doesn’t always come naturally, especially when our efforts go unnoticed. But God notices each time we love and serve those around us. Serving with this in mind keeps our hearts in the right place. What can you do to keep your focus on God as you serve others? Can you pray as you serve? Imagine God beside you? Meditate on a Scripture verse? Ask the Holy Spirit to help you set aside your own need for approval, desire for recognition, and self-serving agenda so that you can focus on serving your Lord as you serve another.
