SACRED MEANS SET APART to be used by God for a holy purpose. When objects are deemed sacred, it usually means they are regarded with respect and honor and used in worship. The sacred medallion we read about in Exodus 39:30 served as a visual reminder to the Israelites that the high priest was set apart as God’s appointed servant for bringing them into God’s holy presence. What places or objects are kept sacred in your life as a reminder of who God is? Your church? Your home? Your Bible and journal? Remember, you are also set apart for God. Your body is the dwelling place of the Holy Spirit. Dedicate yourself, your home, and the things in it to be used to glorify God. When you commit everything you are and have to God’s purposes, all of life becomes a sacred act of worship to him.
