Yet the truth is, love is not a feeling—it is a choice. On our wedding day, we didn’t promise to always feel in love. We promised to choose to love each other with our words, actions, and faithfulness. How can you choose to love your husband today? Can you surprise him with something unexpected and spontaneous? Stick a love note on the bathroom mirror? Call him just to tell him you love him? What would it be like to show love to your spouse in a tangible way, without expecting something in return? Just as God pursues you with his unconditional love, romance is the art of pursuing your mate with that same unconditional love.
