rescue - What can I do when I long to be rescued from something in my life?

We put our hope in the LORD. He is our help and our shield.

Psalm 33:20

Jesus gave his life for our sins, just as God our Father planned, in order to rescue us from this evil world in which we live.

Galatians 1:4

IS THERE SOMETHING you need to be rescued from? Maybe you long to be free from an impossible situation, a certain person, or even your own sin. Instead of trying to escape your circumstances, come to God. Ask him to rescue you and protect you. God promises to help us, save us, defend us, and protect us in everything we face. God also promises he will ultimately rescue those who believe in him from this evil world. The next time you wonder whether God can rescue you, remember that through his Son, he already has.
