Rejection
rejection - Will God ever reject me?
Jesus stood up again and said to the woman, “Where are your accusers? Didn’t even one of them condemn you?” “No, Lord,” she said. And Jesus said, “Neither do I. Go and sin no more.”
John 8:10-11
This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses, for he faced all of the same testings we do, yet he did not sin. So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.
Hebrews 4:15-16
The LORD will not reject his people; he will not abandon his special possession.
Psalm 94:14
ONE OF THE GREATEST struggles for many women is the fear of rejection. Perhaps this is because rejection confirms the biggest lie that Satan whispers in our ear—that we aren’t good enough. However, we never need to worry about this with God. We can approach God knowing he gladly welcomes us and will always accept us. God’s voice will never say, “Sorry, you just don’t measure up” or “If only you had tried a little harder.” He always listens, always hears, always responds, and always loves. Even at your weakest moment, he does not reject you but rather embraces and strengthens you to be all he intends you to be. If you worry about God rejecting you, remind yourself of this truth from Scripture: You are his special possession, and he promises never to abandon you.
