Purpose
purpose - How can I lead a purposeful life?
I cry out to God Most High, to God who will fulfill his purpose for me.
Psalm 57:2
Always work enthusiastically for the Lord, for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless.
1 Corinthians 15:58
A spiritual gift is given to each of us so we can help each other.
1 Corinthians 12:7
The LORD has told you what is good, and this is what he requires of you: to do what is right, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.
Micah 6:8
GOD HAS both a general purpose and a specific purpose for us. Our general purpose is to love others as Jesus has loved us. More specifically, God has also given each of us spiritual gifts and wants us to use them to make a unique contribution in our own sphere of influence. God has placed us in our countries, neighborhoods, and homes for a specific purpose. And he has given us special gifts to love those around us. Sometimes we feel like we need to do big things for God to fulfill our purpose. But most often, we can follow God by obeying him in ways that feel small: telling others about what God has done in our lives, working enthusiastically, doing what is right, loving mercy, obeying his Word, and caring for the needy. When you’re not sure what God’s purpose is for you, ask him to help you find meaning in purpose as you obey him in small ways.
