STRIVING FOR PERFECTION can be exhausting. We know perfection is an impossible standard, yet we often believe that if we work hard enough, we can reach it. The truth is, no matter how much we try, we will never live without mistakes in this world. But maybe God is calling us to a different kind of perfection. We cannot be made perfect by our own efforts, but we can be made holy and blameless before God because of his efforts. Because he offered his Son as a sacrifice for our sins, we are made holy, without fault, by his grace! Isn’t that kind of perfectionism much better than the world’s? Relinquish perfectionism and accept who you really are—an imperfect woman who has been declared faultless because of what God has done.
