Patience

patience - How can I learn patience?

Patient endurance is what you need now, so that you will continue to do God’s will. Then you will receive all that he has promised.

Hebrews 10:36

The Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience . . .

Galatians 5:22

Be still in the presence of the LORD, and wait patiently for him to act.

Psalm 37:7

If you suffer for doing good and endure it patiently, God is pleased with you.

1 Peter 2:20

PATIENCE is not a personality trait; it is a by-product of God’s work in our hearts. Patience is an active choice to wait gracefully for something to unfold. Learning to be patient comes from taking small, faithful steps each day. God promises that when we face situations with perseverance and endurance, he will help us, encourage us, and give us patience. What situation in life is currently testing your patience? How might God’s Word encourage you to respond to this frustrating circumstance with grace and self-control? Whether you spent two hours stuck in rush-hour traffic today or held a crying baby at 2:00 a.m., God is using these moments to grow you into a patient woman. Ask him to help you continue on with patient endurance, and watch for the fruit it will produce in your life.
