Joy
joy - How can I choose to be joyful when I don’t feel like it?
Because of our faith, Christ has brought us into this place of undeserved privilege where we now stand, and we confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing God’s glory.
Romans 5:2
Let all who take refuge in you rejoice; let them sing joyful praises forever. Spread your protection over them, that all who love your name may be filled with joy.
Psalm 5:11
This is the day the LORD has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it.
Psalm 118:24
Let all that I am praise the LORD; may I never forget the good things he does for me.
Psalm 103:2
GOD DOES NOT PROMISE constant happiness; in fact, the Bible assures us that in this world, problems will come our way because we live in a fallen world. But God does promise lasting joy for all who faithfully follow him. Joy happens in two ways. Temporary joy is a response to happy events, while lasting joy is what we experience despite our circumstances. Lasting joy comes only when we follow God, choose to respond to his gifts with thanksgiving, and strive to live with an eternal perspective. Ask the Lord to help you be aware of his goodness in your life and to develop an appreciative and thankful heart so that you may experience lasting joy, regardless of your circumstances.

In spite of my circumstances, I am choosing joy because your Word says . . .
