Intercession
intercession - Does it really make a difference when others pray for me or I pray for others?
Abraham said, “Lord, please don’t be angry with me if I speak one more time. Suppose only ten are found there?” And the LORD replied, “Then I will not destroy it for the sake of the ten.”
Genesis 18:32
While Peter was in prison, the church prayed very earnestly for him.
Acts 12:5
The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results.
James 5:16
We have not stopped praying for you since we first heard about you. We ask God to give you complete knowledge of his will and to give you spiritual wisdom and understanding.
Colossians 1:9
INTERCESSORY PRAYER is going before the Lord on another’s behalf. We are called to pray earnestly for others, trusting God to produce wonderful results from our faithful prayers. It is easy to become discouraged if we think our prayers are ineffective or unimportant. But in ways beyond our understanding, intercessory prayer is a channel for the love and power of God to work in another’s life. We may not understand the power our prayers have on another until we get to heaven. Ask God to help you become a woman of prayer, one who faithfully intercedes for those around her.
