Forgiveness
forgiveness - Will God forgive me for the things I’ve done wrong? Why would he even want to forgive me?
Everyone who calls on the name of the LORD will be saved.
Joel 2:32
Nothing can ever separate us from God’s love.
Romans 8:38
He forgives all my sins and heals all my diseases. . . . He does not punish us for all our sins; he does not deal harshly with us, as we deserve. For his unfailing love toward those who fear him is as great as the height of the heavens above the earth. He has removed our sins as far from us as the east is from the west.
Psalm 103:3, 10-12
“Come now, let’s settle this,” says the LORD. “Though your sins are like scarlet, I will make them as white as snow. Though they are red like crimson, I will make them as white as wool.”
Isaiah 1:18
FORGIVENESS is based not on the magnitude of the sin but on the magnitude of the forgiver’s love. Nothing we have done is so bad that God’s complete and unconditional love can’t forgive it. The Bible does, however, mention one unforgivable sin: holding on to an attitude of defiant hostility toward God that prevents us from accepting his forgiveness. Only those who don’t want his forgiveness are out of its reach. No matter how seriously you’ve messed up, it will never be enough for God to turn his back on you and deny you forgiveness when you ask him for it.
