Faithfulness

faithfulness - How does my faithfulness to God impact others?

Each generation tells of your faithfulness to the next.

Isaiah 38:19

The love of the LORD remains forever with those who fear him. His salvation extends to the children’s children of those who are faithful to his covenant, of those who obey his commandments!

Psalm 103:17-18

In the future, your children will ask you, “What does all this mean?” Then you will tell them, “With the power of his mighty hand, the LORD brought us out of Egypt, the place of our slavery.”

Exodus 13:14

IT IS BOTH the privilege and the obligation of each generation to reveal to the next the faithfulness of God. God’s blessings for your faithfulness often overflow to those around you. Likewise, you are the benefactor of other people’s faithfulness to God. What kind of heritage do you want to leave for your children and, someday, your grandchildren? What words and actions from your life do you want your children to remember? Here is a good place to start: Each day, decide to obey God in the small things. If you try to obey God every day in each small decision, someday you will look back on a full life devoted to faithfulness and obedience. Remember, you never know who is watching you and which actions will most impact them. A life of faith, hope, and love for God will have far more lasting value than any other kind of inheritance we might leave behind.
