Exhaustion

exhaustion - How can I function when I’m so exhausted?

Jacob’s well was there; and Jesus, tired from the long walk, sat wearily beside the well about noontime.

John 4:6

We grow weary in our present bodies, and we long to put on our heavenly bodies like new clothing.

2 Corinthians 5:2

My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.

2 Corinthians 12:9

Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.”

Matthew 11:28

He knows how weak we are; he remembers we are only dust.

Psalm 103:14

JESUS LIVED in a human body, so he understands what it means to be tired. He knows we are flesh-and-blood women with physical limitations. When we are exhausted, God cares for us like a tender parent who carries a sleeping child to bed. God is not disappointed in our weariness. In fact, he invites us to bring our exhausted bodies and souls to him so that he can give us rest. Allow your weariness to remind you of your need for God. You can’t do life on your own, and that is how God designed it. Take the rest you need and trust that some of God’s best work is done through your weakness.
