Equality

equality - Does God value all people equally?

God shows no favoritism. In every nation he accepts those who fear him and do what is right.

Acts 10:34-35

We are made right with God by placing our faith in Jesus Christ. And this is true for everyone who believes, no matter who we are.

Romans 3:22

Adam’s one sin brings condemnation for everyone, but Christ’s one act of righteousness brings a right relationship with God and new life for everyone.

Romans 5:18

The heavenly Father to whom you pray has no favorites. He will judge or reward you according to what you do.

1 Peter 1:17

WE LIVE in a world where gender, ethnicity, political beliefs, and socioeconomic status influence us to rank each other’s worth. However, God’s Word is clear: He has no favorites. Since all people are created by God in his image, every person has equal value in his eyes. It may be countercultural, but God has made salvation available to everyone. It doesn’t matter what color your skin is, what family you were born into, or what sins you’ve committed—God loves all people. There is not a single person on this earth that God doesn’t want a relationship with. If you feel tempted to believe that God loves the next person more than you—or loves you more than the next person—reflect on his Word. He accepts every person who pursues a relationship with him, accepts his forgiveness, and lives to honor him.
