A prayer for Advice

When I need godly advice

Heavenly Father,

Why do I sometimes look for godly advice from people who aren’t close to you? No wonder their counsel doesn’t seem to help! When I’m looking for godly advice, please lead me to people who are committed to telling the truth, even if it’s what I don’t want to hear. Lead me to people who are close to you, who know your Word and can wisely discern what is right. Lord, please give me the desire to always seek godly counsel.

The godly offer good counsel; they teach right from wrong. Psalm 37:30
