A prayer about Stress

When I am feeling intense levels of stress

Lord God,

I ask for the gift of your eternal perspective. I confess that I have allowed the cares of this world to cloud my mind and steal the joy from my heart. But what are the troubles of today compared to the gift of your salvation? Lord, I know with your help I can rise above the simple cares of this world. Give me the peace that only you can give.

I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world. John 16:33
