A prayer about Strength

What is true strength in God’s eyes?

Dear God,

So many people think that following you means being weak. I know that’s not true! It takes strength to humbly obey you when I am tempted to sin. It takes great courage to serve others through acts of kindness when I don’t feel like it. But please never let me mistake raw power for true strength. Let me live by the biblical concept of strength: power under the control of love.

I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong. 2 Corinthians 12:10
